HPE Storage LTO Ultrium Tape Drives span nine generations of Linear Tape-Open (LTO) technology, delivering up to 45 TB [1] of storage per cartridge and data transfer rates up to 300 MB/s native. Hardware-based AES 256-bit encryption helps protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access to tape cartridges. LTFS, an open format for storing data, makes tape media self-describing and file-based for easy access and management. Data rate matching dynamically adjusts the drive to the host system speed, helping maintain continuous streaming and optimize performance.

HPE Smart Choice models available with external tape drives featuring LTO-8 and LTO-9 technology can be quoted in minutes and shipped quickly through HPE authorized partners.
